A love of the natural world and deep concerns about the environmental damage caused by human activity are at the heart of my photographic practice. These themes are motivated by experiences during long distance treks in the Himalayas and the Andes, where I honed my skills shooting landscape and the travel experience. More recently I have investigated internal and external landscapes, from the search for happiness and contentment to fear of the dark and our fraught relationship with the natural environment.

I was born and grew up in Ballarat, Victoria where I studied geology, before moving to Melbourne to work for the Victorian Government. I left the public service in 2012 to travel and study graphic design. In 2016 I completed a Bachelor of Photography.
